Parker’s fishmongers in Mill Street has been in Stafford for over 80 years and is our longest serving private retail business. Ross Parker - the third generation of his family to run this thriving enterprise - and his staff have a great knowledge of fresh fish and seafood; the produce could not be fresher, as it is hand picked from the wholesale market, where fish is sourced from every port in the British Isles to find produce of the highest quality.
“It is very important to me that I am offering my customers the finest fish available” says Ross, who prides himself on the quality of services he and his staff offer the discerning customer.”The business has come a long way since my grandfather had an open fronted premises and laid the fish out on marble mongers slabs – now everyting can be stored in state of the art refrigeration and indeed our shop is air conditioned, which is really appreciated by all in the summer”
Ross is a keen cook himself, and many of the customer’s regularly ask him and his staff for advice as to the best way to serve his fish and seafood.
