About Us
The Soup Kitchen, at the top of Church Lane overlooking St Mary’s Church, has been run by the Sandy family for over thirty years and we are probably Stafford’s best-known daytime eating-house. We pride ourselves on our freshly cooked food and are so flattered that folk keep coming back time and time again to visit us. The Soup Kitchen has come along way since it first opened three centuries ago and now we can comfortably sit 360 discerning guests in one of our many cosy rooms. When the weather is fine our roof top garden is always popular and it’s a great place to chill out and let life pass you by. Our motto has always been ‘children welcome, grannies adored’ and Duncan and his enthusiastic and helpful staff look forwarding to seeing you very soon.
