Dancers, musicians, and artists will be taking to the streets of Stafford for the 7th annual Arts Festival on Saturday 16th September 2017.
The event will include a range of FREE arts and craft workshops to get involved in, as well as dancers and musicians providing a carnival atmosphere.
There will also be street theatre, a bubbleologist and glitter tattoos.
Whether you have an interest in Music, Dance, Arts or Crafts, there is something for everyone to come along and enjoy.
Live Performances in Market Square
Dappa Dans | 10am
Fantastic local dance group perform Jubilee.
Stafford Operatic Society | 10:30am
Performing songs from their new musical Sister Act.
Des Nachi | 11am, 12noon & 1.30pm
Bollywood entertainment as you have never seen before, by the incredible dancers Desi Nach; vibrant and colourful routines that will get you dancing too.
Solid Steel Band | 11am, 1pm & 2:30pm
The sound of the modern and versatile steel pans will bring sunshine to the festival.
Art Brasil | 12:30pm
Colourful, amazing Brazilian dance and music.
Hula Hoop Workshop | 2:00pm
Angie Mack’s hooptastic, interactive comedy show is jam packed with highly skilled hula hoop tricks, iconic music and a whole lot of heart.
Groove Academy | 3pm & 4pm
Energetic local dance group performing their Rock'n'Roll routine (3pm) and showcasing their Tapfit high calories, total body workout. (4pm).
The Crooked Bawbees | 3:25pm
Folk musicians The Crooked Bawbees perform live.
Activities In Market Square | 10am to 4pm
Art and Craft Workshops
Paint a ceramic money bank car to take home, make a necklace or a bracelet out of beans and make a carnival mask.
Glitter Tattooist and Face Painter
Free glitter tattoos and children’s face painting.
Stafford Art Group
Artists at work in a variety of mediums showing that drawing and painting is a skill everyone can do. Create your own masterpiece.
Meet the fabulous birds and their comedy minder. The amazing Bubbleologist will create huge bubbles and our talented juggler will astound with balls, clubs, diabolo and a 6 foot unicycle! Angie Mack will hula hoop her way around the town.
As part of the Stafford Arts Festival we will be hosting live demonstrations from some of our exhibiting artists throughout the day, plus spotlight guided tours of the gallery and live music.

Pablo’s Palette combines mango, strawberry, orange and sherbet sorbet to tantalise your tastebuds and reflect the colours of the rainbow.
Free Children's Paint Party | Stafford Indoor Market | 10am to 4pm
Get creative using our giant easels. Collect your masterpiece once the paint has dried!
Unicorn Challenge | Stafford Indoor Market | 10am to 4pm
Explore the market and find 10 different numbered unicorns on the stalls to be in with the chance to win our large fluffy unicorn.
Open Day | Saint Mary's Church | 10.30am to 3.30pm

A jazz/rock covers band who take familiar and not so familiar songs and give them a twist.
Ruby Bridge | The Swan | From 9pm
A stunning six piece party band with a soulful discotheque groove.
Puppets from the Douglas Hayward Collection | The Ancient High House | 10am to 4pm
This fun and interactive exhibition features the whole puppet family including marionettes, shadow, rod and glove puppets – and of course there would be no show without Mr Punch!

Julia Humphries and Egele Gelaziute-Petrauskiene. A joint exhibition featuring animals in two very different art styles.
Art and Craft Workshops | The Ancient High House | 10am to 4pm
Talk to local artists and craft practitioners; Tony and Julie Smith – ‘Artists in Residence’ for the day. Children’s arts and crafts workshops – £2.
Penny Trail & Competition | Cup A Cha | 9am to 5pm
Help create a royal image by gluing a penny to the image and signing your initials with our special pen. This will then be framed and put on display for all to see. There is also a spot the difference competition for children.

Cupcake Decorating Competition | The Bakehouse | 10am to 5pm
Collect a cupcake from the Bakehouse by 14 September, decorate and return it by 12noon on Festival Day. Judging takes place at 3pm. Two categories - 11 years and under and over 11 years.
Free Gift With Purchase | Hadleigh | 9am to 5pm
