Dash Cashless Parking

No loose change, no problem!

You don't need to search for loose change when you park on Council car parks in Stafford Town Centre. This is because Stafford Borough Council has introduced a new cashless parking "Pay by Phone" system called Dash Cashless Parking.

Cashless parking is a quick and secure way to pay for parking in the Borough. Instead of having to put money in a pay and display machine, you can use your mobile phone.

What are the benefits?

How do I register?

To use the system, all you have to do is:

After registering, you'll receive an email and text message confirming your registration.

Once registered, when you visit one of the selected car parks, just follow the instructions on the signs next to the pay machines and in the car park, and you'll be able to pay for your parking using your phone.

Once you're signed up, you can pay in one the following ways:

Do I need to display a ticket?

When you use Dash Parking, you don't need to display a traditional paper ticket on your dashboard as all of the Council's Civil Enforcement Officers carry a hand-held computer.

When they see a car without a ticket, they enter the car's registration number into their computer, and it will tell them whether the driver has paid for parking using Dash Parking.

A permit MUST be obtained from ‘Shopmobility’ and clearly displayed.

How to display your “blue badge” correctly

The badge should be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle with the front (the side containing the expiry date, issuing authority and wheelchair symbol) clearly visible to the Enforcement Officers.

The associated time clock only needs to be displayed when you are parking on yellow lines or in a blue badge parking bay that has a time limit. In both cases, you should set the time of arrival on the clock and display it next to your badge on the dashboard.
